Confidence
[kon-fi-duh ns]
Noun: belief in oneself and one’s powers or abilities; self-assurance; self-reliance
At Ivy League Day Camp, we believe that a child builds confidence and self-esteem by pushing their limits, while being encouraged and supported by their peers. Each child learns how to test their boundaries in their own unique way, which is why we have created a diverse set of activities that challenge children physically, mentally, and interpersonally.
When we hear our leadership team and campers talking about what Confidence (and the High 5 Program) “looks” like, or how they earned their Confidence achievement, they say:
- “Doing something outside of my comfort zone”
- “Taking my deep water and swimming tests”
- “Climbing the rock wall, ropes courses, and jumping on skybounce”
- “Performing on stage in front of my friends”
